I 

The shepherds went their hasty way,
And found the lowly stable-shed
Where the Virgin-Mother lay:
And now they checked their eager tread,
For to the Babe, that at her bosom clung,
A Mother's song the Virgin-Mother sung.

Life is never easy…
and sometimes it’s really unfair…
yet look at the bright side…

sometimes Love really makes us feel miserable in our lives…lack of love makes you feel nothing while too much of it makes you feel everything to the point you’re losing everything and letting it slip between the palm of your hands…
Here we go again… after a heart break .falling for another trap… yet traps are all not that bad… some traps lets you experience failure and from that you become stronger to face more trials the world can give…
Emotional as I may seem… I’m just expressing the music of my heart and mind… though it may not be music to others but mere noise… I still have the right to live my life… and I am… right now…
Solace is the best word for me these days… In times of misery… I need not frustrate on the world… the thing is to be comfortable and accept the flow of your life… though it may not be that smooth… You’re still gonna see a light after a long dark tunnel… Happiness is a choice and I made my decision to be happy for God has plans for me… I may not know them and sometimes it’ll really be hard… All I have to do is await each day with a deep longing and thirst in my heart to make my life worthwhile…

- We really don't over analyze everything you say, and we really aren't nearly as complex as you think we are.

- It really does take us that long to get ready and unless you want us to go out feeling ugly (which will be much worse for you) then deal.

Which is a healthier option: Tap Water or Bottled Water?

A friend of mine posted an article conveying that tap water is better than bottled water. I told him that maybe he is basing his article on the American setting where their water systems are trusted. Undeniably, that is not the case here in the Philippines. Here are some of the replies I gave concerning his call to a healthier choice which is tap water. it's better to weigh down your options more carefully. Here's what I got to say:

We already tackled that several times in our discussions last year. The problem here in the Philippines is the way we handle our water sources. If you drink tap water directly from the faucet without boiling it, then there's more than a 50% chance you'll end up having diarrhea. Most of our water systems here are not that trusted, those less fortunate people who are unable to buy bottled water are the common victims of Acute Gastroenteritis (inflammation of the gastric/stomach lining due to an infection). I had a few number of patients with that case and came up to a conclusion that tap water is not safe to drink. 

As to tap water, I agree that it contains the essential minerals needed for our body

but it can also contain bacteria and other microorganisms that can cause several digestive problems....

To bottled water..don't believe on companies claiming their water is "MINERAL" because the term MINERAL will only apply to water from its natural source with all the minerals intact. Don't be deceived by those claims to the fact that most of the bottled water now are actually just "PURIFIED" meaning it has undergone the process of distillation and no minerals are left behind. And as to "SPRING" water, many brands will use that word in their brand names to allure people but only few brands actually sell real SPRING water because these are not that easy to acquire from their natural sources. 

Water is life and no individual can live without it....

I'm just sharing some of my knowledge and experience for you to choose well what bottled water you have to drink or what process should be done first for tap water to be safe to drink.

A day of being a shopaholic and a dedicated best friend to a scholar

This blog site is not intended for an online diary....

Don't worry..I won't write it that way...

Just this morning, my best friend really accompanied me to go to a dermatologist for a consultation. I have my very own right of privacy not to divulge anything about medical records so beat it. Oh well, she's my best friend since 3rd grade and that's like 12 years ago. I'm just glad we never change our friendship throughout the years. Due to unnerving and quite huge disappointments, we went to the mall and shopped for cosmetics. Talk about being vain..LOL! We are not vain, just going with the flow of the modern world. We ate lunch at McDonald's and went back shopping for clothes until we got tired.

We went back to our alma mater to attend a tribute to a graduate. She was quite a graduate, she's been to rough times and she strive hard to be a scholar for her to support her studies. I am so thankful that I finished college without that much financial difficulties and at the same time I envy those people who had a right to decide for themselves. I was greatly neglected with control of my life and even until now that I'm a professional already. My best friend's college life was so memorable to her as she enjoyed every moment of it and she loved doing it. Me? I was stuck for 4 years surviving nursing which was not my first choice. I don't say I hate it. I swear I love serving people especially attending to the needs of the sick and dying but somehow I can feel something's missing. I haven't fully lived my life according to how much I wanted it but more on how other people wanted it to be. I still want to be an oncologist, to find a cure for cancer, an artist in which my first love and passion is arts, and go into human relations and communications like oral and writing communication which I think I have a talent on. I'm so ambitious but I'm not quite sure if my life is well driven. I am thankful for God for giving me all the blessings even though I don't deserve them but still feel quite malcontented of the life I had. I'm confused with all these paradoxical thoughts in my mind. I'm a nurse but I'm into a writing job.  I'm not quite sure if I'm heading the right direction....

But the people around me this day made me realized one thing: to be thankful of everything: the happiness, joy, sorrows and even the greatest problems in life. They all make us strong and it's basically a part of living as a human. There are still a lot of thoughts I ponder on my mind. These thoughts that will never seem to end until I get the answer. For now, I live my life and pray for everything.. God speed.

If God had a face what would it look like?

I mean not all people are Christians..or not all people have gods to believe on...but one thing is for sure....
we always have something to believe on....
to keep us strong...
amidst trials and sorrows....
when I watched Glee Season 2 Episode 3: Grilled Cheesus.....
I realized that it's almost a month since I last prayed the Holy Rosary...
My life has been on fast pace....
forgetting about the real substance of faith....
Faith is something you cannot see nor touch...
but somehow it holds up your life together....
we all have faith..if not to a god...maybe to something or someone...
we really can't do it all alone....
there will always be that mysterious entity intervening in our lives....
that is faith...
sometimes we forget the real essence of faith because we stereotype different kinds of beliefs and religions....
but that's not the point....
if you don't believe in God...that most people believe on....
it doesn't mean you have no assurance to salvation...
faith is something more than that...
more than your religion...
more than what you believe in....
but on your actions and deeds in this world...
that affects people around you...


our actions are the real mirrors of our faith...


and our mistakes should not completely rely on the essence of religion but on how your mistakes affect people...
there will always be consequences in everything and it should not be blamed on faith and religion....
we are all imperfect striving to survive in this diverse world...


as time runs so fast....


as the flow of river  passes just once...


as more people get lost into transition...


let us all be aware...


that we should not rely on being constantly reminded of our faith through speech and writing....


but more into actions....


in my part...
I believe in God...but many times I doubted him...
so many times I was lost..and found..lost and found again...
what matters most is to find our way back home....
we can never do it all alone....


If God has a face...it would be just like my dream....
I had a dream when I wished to see God's face....
the sky opened up...
and I saw the image of Jesus...
crying with tears of blood...
this happened when I was still 11 years old....
I have not spoken it to public in this form...
but this is somehow a revelation....


that God is a suffering God...


that we should see him more on the face of the people who are less fortunate and in need....


that God was represented of Jesus who suffered and died on the cross...


that dream was a lesson for me...
sinful as I am..I try and try to stand up and look into God's ways...
it doesn't matter how many times you fall...but the important thing is how to get back up again...


in your own feet....


in your own faith...


you don't need to belong to a specific religion to have faith...


we are all free with our own choices in life...
but always remember...


faith is never absent...


it is rooted within you....


for those who haven't felt it...
open your mind and hearts and surrender...
faith is never different...
to someone or something....


it's how you act upon it that makes a difference...


I have made a difference by pausing on my busy life and writing a blog on spirituality...
